    12 teams in two conferences.  
    20-man active roster.  
    5-man farm team.  
    4-man DL (must be on IR in NHL or listed as out for more than 1 week).   
    Players affected by Covid/Flu-related illnesses may go on the DL but must be activated by following week of NHL activation.  
    Three teams from each conference advance to postseason (two division winners plus one wild card).  
    Six players will be kept. Goalie is optional.  
    Live ZOOM draft of 16 players on Saturday Oct. 12th, to bring team total of 22 to begin season.  
    Trading of players for draft picks is allowed during current offseason only. No more than 6 picks per 5 rounds allowed.  
    Keepers to be submitted on Friday Oct.11th by 8 pm. If any player is announced to be injured & expected to miss 50% of season after submission can be replaced.  
    Draft order for non-playoff teams is determined by lottery. Worst team is lotto protected to fall no further than 3rd; second-worst no further than 4th.  
       
    Line-ups:  
    Line-ups and pick-ups due Sunday night (or before commissioner wakes up at 6 a.m. Monday).  
    Two dates are submitted for each player for each game.  
    If dates not selected, then first two dates will be used.  
    If player fails to appear in scheduled game, then date is pushed to next available game with next game's date (if available) getting pushed if necessary.  
    If first game's dates are pushed, game #2 will not be pushed if indicated by owner.  
    When 2 goalies are employed & line-up is 1st 2 dates, the 2nd goalie cannot appear until after 1st goalie appears unless indicated by 1st dates available.  
    Game 1 begins on Monday & concludes by Saturday.  
    Game 2 begins on Tuesday &  is reserved for Sunday.  
    Two (2) scoring lines: a center; two wingers; 2 defensemen.  
    One (1) checking line: a combo of 3 position players not exceeding 1 center; or 2 wingers; or 2 defensemen.  
    One (1) goalie.  
    One (1) overtime: any position other than a goalie. No center-eligible points are used - goals, assists and +/- only.  
    Overtime player is a must, if no player is listed, commissioner will apoint one alphabetically if one not assigned for consecutive weeks.  
    No OT player, including moving a player with no available date will result in a minus 1 point.  
    The 3 or 3 rule is in effect: If any player misses 3 consecutive weeks or a line-up is missing 3 starters; commissioner will notify team to make moves beginning Monday after  
    line-up submission. If changes still not made; commissioner will insert available player listed alphabetically.  
    Two changes and one flip-flop allowed per game: changes can be made by game-time of affected game.  
    Centers and wingers can play any forward position but are limited only to positional points where they are starting.  
    Line-up corrections must be made to commissioner within same date of posted line-ups otherwise it will be at commissioner's discretion.  
       
    Schedule consists of:  
    An 18-week regular season.  
    3 series vs. division.  
    2 series vs. conference.  
    1 series vs. opposing conference.  
    Season begins Monday Oct. 14th, 2024.  
    First line-ups due beginning Sunday Oct. 13th, 2024.  
    A 2-week break will occur between Week #17 & Week #18 due to World Hockey tournament.  
       
    Transactions:  
    Live pick-ups begin week #2 via zoom. Pick-ups can also be submitted with line-up and will slot into order if submitted before live pick-up.  
    Only three pick-ups allowed per week.  
    Trading of picks not allowed!  
    Trading Deadline is at the end of week #10 (midnight following  Dec. 23rd, 2024).  
    Moving players from farm to active roster (or vice versa) requires an option (3 options per player for season).  
    Once all 3 options have been exhausted, moving a player up to active roster or down to farm requires a 24-hour waiver wire exposure.  
    Waiver claims are based on records with worst ream going first up to the team with the best record.  
    Claiming team must keep waiver-claimed player on active roster for at least 24 hours before attempting to move him.  
    Claiming or picking up injured players on NHL disabled lists can be placed directly on DL's for WNI teams.  
    Players placed IL must have been out for a week or listed as out for the upcoming week or any combination thereof.  
    Pick-ups based on records with tie-breakers as follows: head-to-head; division record; conference record; points scored; point-difference.  
    All ties within division are broken first followed by within conference, if necessary.  
    Last week for pick-ups is at beginning of Week #18 for all teams.  
       
    PLAYOFF RULES:  
    Playoffs begin Mar. 3rd, 2025.  
    First-Round is best of three spanning one week with Seeds #2 vs.#3 in a best of 3.  
    Conference finals and WNI championship are best of five spread out over two weeks each.  
    Two OT players needed.  
    If still tied after 2 OT's then higher-seeded team wins.  
    Three changes allowed per game plus a flip-flop for higher-seeded teams.  
    Rosters can be rearranged between rounds with impunity.
